Just in case any budding King Canutes were foolish enough to think they could turn back the tide, a local council in Devon UK has erected this sign to prevent any unnecessary drowings.
Rather than worrying about seaside fatalities perhaps the council should try and avoid drowning in bureaucracy?

Rupert Everett : Foolish Words
"My flippant and irresponsible behaviour arises from a deep frustration at the fact that we seem to be continually making war"
Rupert Everett
Well Rupert it seems that in having the guts to stick your head above the media parapet you've got what you deserve, although the risk to life and limb isn't quite in the same league as the heroes you criticised is it now?
...interesting that celebrities are "always whining about the dangers of being misunderstood".(sic) eh Rupert

Lee McQueen : Resume of a Fool

Alledgedly Lee was a bit of fool on this weeks The Apprentice. He must have been really foolish to think that details on his CV/resume wouldn't be checked up on. I'm sure he now realises that it was probably foolish to think he could blag his way by claiming to have studied for 2 years at a university when he only did 4 months!
You can't fool us Lee...even I know that attending a university (even for a few days) is not the same as getting a qualification! Mind you demonstrating just how unqualified you are might just qualify you for victory!
