Brummies Are No Fools

In a classic marketing blunder, the UK City of Birmingham recently printed 720,000 leaflets with the skyline of the US City of Birmingham skyline urging people to recycle! The full story is covered here Brum Skyline Mix Up

For non UK readers who might be puzzled at the term Brum is coloquiallism Brummagem

What fool cocked that up I wonder, surely not the same fool who expected us believe that the photo was deliberate because they only wanted to show a 'generic' skyline on the leaflet.

If that was the case why not Rome, San Paulo, or Copenhagen surely they would be ORIGHT too

Cigarettes : The Foolishness Gene

When I was at school I remember a teacher persuasively describing a cigarette as "A stick of vegetable matter with a light on one end and a fool on the other"

It seems that scientists have discovered the Foolish Smoker Gene that predisposes certain people to 'enjoy' their first inhalation rather than go green and puke.

The really foolish bit, of course, is knowing that smoking can kill you and continuing to do so.
